Yapeal is a Swiss neobank that received a “fintech” license from FINMA in March 2020, allowing it to offer its own IBAN accounts without partnering with an established bank. Founded by former UBS bankers, Yapeal claims to be the first Swiss company to receive this license. Unlike Neon, which must collaborate with an authorized third-party bank, Yapeal stands out by offering Visa debit cards independently.
