Bank Cler was founded in 1927 by the Swiss Cooperatives Association (now Coop) and the Swiss Trade Union Association under the name “Central Cooperative Bank”.

In 1995, the bank changed its name to Bank Coop.

On May 20, 2017, the bank changed its name to Bank Cler.

Bank CLER was the first bank in Switzerland to offer an account entirely on a smartphone app. The basic ZAK offer is free of charge and allows you to manage your finances on a daily basis in Switzerland.
